Starting his first day in this new school, Miles' life became difficult with everyone making fun of him while he felt out of place. ![]() His reluctance surrounding his new school occasionally put him at odds with his father. In spite of this, he was reluctant to leave behind his friends and his old school where he was comfortable and popular. After passing the entry test to the exclusive private school Brooklyn Visions Academy, he won a lottery for a slot in the school and was immediately enrolled. Gifted with the arts, Miles expresses himself by leaving sticker tags wherever he could and with graffiti. Miles also attended to Brooklyn Middle School, when he meet some of his friends and became an popular kid among the neighborhood. Miles grew up admiring his city's protector, the beloved hero Spider-Man, despite Jeff's - his father and a police man - reservations about him.
